On average, five people are killed on New Zealand farms each year in work-related quad bike incidents. In addition, there are more than 845 work-related injuries each year on New Zealand farms, with more than 160 serious enough to require time off work or ongoing help. That’s a toll we must reduce. This document provides practical advice on how to reduce the likelihood of quad bike accidents on farms. As part of the Government's programme to divest itself of MAF's non core commercial activities, the Forest Surveillance Scheme was sold in 1999 to Forest Research.
