The strength of the Forest Owners Association is in its ability to act on behalf of the vast majority of growers in New Zealand in a way that benefits all, but with the very large efficiencies that a collective can provide. It is pleasing to note that the vast majority of forest owners, and all of the major players, are committed to this collective effort.
The Association also provides a number of excellent benefits in addition to the activities around advocacy, advice and information. These include access to forestry fire insurance and a hi-viz garment registration scheme.
